Mourning on the 9th of Av is certainly important, but ultimately, we want the Temple to be rebuilt, and it won't be rebuilt until the reason for its destruction has disappeared. Indeed, as far as I can see, the Second Temple was destroyed because, on the one hand, the sages were too cowardly to admonish the wrongdoers, as in the Aggadah of Kamtza and Bar Kamtza, and also did nothing against the corrupt elite and the Cehuna. Therefore, fanatics rose up who believed that courage was enough to save the Temple, land, and people, completely overlooking that action without the right faith is doomed to shirk. And, as far as I can see, we are today exactly where we were then. The "spiritual leaders" of our generation are deeply immersed in corrupt machinations for money and political influence, and the political leadership is completely bought off. Only through teshuva will Israel be saved, and teshuva means sincerity and strict halacha. But the Poskim have betrayed both. Take, for example, the "three oaths" and the Shabbat times according to Rabenu Tam which is the ruling of all the Geonim and all the Rishonim.

Well, thanks for narrowing it down for us ever so slightly. I've never been too impressed by rabbis who wouldn't stand publicly behind their opinions. But so be it. In today's Orthodox climate, espousing such a viewpoint (however mild and reasonable it might seem to me) could endanger a rabbi's livelihood, and even put all his children at risk ר"ל of never finding anyone willing to marry them.
